I love stories of any genre. Most stories, such as fairy tales, have been with us since childhood and give us a basic understanding of right and wrong. As we grow older these morals become outdated and too simplistic. But the best thing about most of those stories is that they can change and grow with us. A plot can be expanded on, characters can evolve and be reinterpreted and the story is re-adapted to explore a complex issue that we might not have been able to understand as children. Do the new interpretations honour the original work? Have the characters evolved in a new/logical way? Is the new adaptation, in general, worth watching? That’s what I’m here to blog about.
